Who are we?

Moonlight Experiences is an organisation dedicated to the celebration of queer culture through tourism, whilst uplifting those vulnerable and marginalised voices in our community. By supporting local queer venues and creating an international network of queer culture, Moonlight Experiences is reshaping the way we navigate travel and community as LGBTQ+ individuals.

Led by LGBTQ+ advocate, entrepreneur and avid traveller, Aisha Shaibu along with a small and dedicated team of volunteers; aims to bring diversity and inclusion and to the centre our community. There is a clear lack of travel services which provide adequate access for QTIPOC, women and queer womxn which we hope to change - not just in the UK, but in various cities in Europe and around the world. We want to support and unite our communities through nightlife and help sustain LGBTQ+ venues which are in decline.

What do we do?

Through our specially crafted events and experiences in London, we have hosted unique and authentic cultural insights, while sharing knowledge and experiences with allies.

  • We have supported 15 clubs/venues

  • Shared over 100 queer artists

  • To over 5,500 people across the globe

We centre the safety and well-being of LGBTQ+ visitors, celebrating and supporting the safe spaces we have access to in London and uplifting our cultural nightlife. Self-expression and identity are rights, not privileges, and LGBTQ+ individuals deserve to feel safe and protected while travelling, not just limited to confined cities or town

Alike many other small-scale organisations, Covid-19 has inevitably slowed projects and plans, requiring us to figure out how to still uplift and celebrate queer experiences and talent. Throughout the pandemic, we have been hosting digital events to educate queer individuals and allies on the underground queer history and culture of the UK. These experiences created a global

network of 6,500 people, with profits helping provide financial support to queer artists (who may be struggling through these uncertain times).

The Crowd-fund

Towards the later months of 2021, we expect a surge in travel, creating the fundamental need for community solidarity and a much bigger platform for the travel and authentic experiences for the community. We truly believe that the economic power and potential in queer travel can drive the needed support for queer venues, artists and all marginalised voices. The funds will be used

·      To create jobs and recruit teams of queer locals, artists, and activists in the UK and abroad

·      To build and develop a robust website for all our services.

·      Legal costs & insurance.

·      Developing additional experiences (e.g. pride day experiences and queer date nights in cities) .

·      Marketing & communications. - Provide relevant resources, materials, and travel guides for the countries we operate in.

We whole-heartedly appreciate any size of donation - here are some perks to donating below.

£50 donations and above will be offered our exclusive LGBTQ+ online experience. The experience focuses on hidden queer history and includes live performances from London’s finest drag kings & queens.

£75 donations and above will be offered a limited free spot on our secret London bars experience. (In-person experience for up to two people)

£100 donations or above will receive a 20% discount on all experiences in any of the cities we operate in.
