2024 Community Stage Application Form 

UK Black Pride's Community Stage is a platform where thought-provoking discussions intertwine with the performances of emerging musicians, spoken word artists, and creatives. It has quickly become a much-loved space every year for its wellbeing discussions, speakers, radical panels, insightful discussions, and acts as a space for collective discussion and information sharing.

Applications are now open for speakers, artists, musicians, poets, and those looking to share insightful workshops or panel discussions, either as an organization or as an individual.

Key dates

Applications close on Sunday, 9th June 2024 at midnight, with successful applicants contacted by Sunday, 23rd June. This year's UK Black Pride is taking place on Sunday 11th August at the Olympic Park in Stratford.

Useful information

Year on year, we create themes for our event. This year’s UK Black Pride theme is ‘Freedom and Justice’. While it is not a requirement that your performance embodies this, you may decide to incorporate or give credence to our theme. 

UK Black Pride is a safe space to celebrate diverse sexualities, gender identities, cultures, gender expressions and backgrounds and we foster, represent and celebrate Black LGBTQI+ and QTIPOC culture through education, the arts, cultural events and advocacy. Importantly, UK Black Pride promotes unity and cooperation among LGBTQI+ people of diasporic communities in the UK, as well as their friends and families. UK Black Pride reserves the right to decline or remove anyone or organisation whose values do not align with our organisation or the communities we serve.
